Katakana are often used to write out loanwords or other words from foreign languages. Since there are many sounds that don't naturally occur in Japanese, some katakana have been combined in order to recreate these unfamiliar sounds. This audio lesson will demonstrate how to write some sounds that don't occur in native Japanese, like "vu, "tsi" and "fo."
