Founded in 2011, FluentU is an online education company that has been distributed/remote since day one. We help people learn languages with real-world videos, including movie trailers, music videos, news and inspiring talks. We have a popular website, iOS app, and Android app. We’re a profitable, stable, and growing company with long-term focus, and we’re proudly self-funded.

This is a unique opportunity to be at the ground floor of our live classes, which is still in the early stages.

WHAT THIS JOB IS ABOUT

We are looking for a part-time (or full-time) teacher to teach live group and one-on-one Chinese classes.

• The course curriculum would be specified in advance.
• You would be fully paid for any prep or follow up time.
• In times when there is no class scheduled (or when there are cancellations), there is the possibility of potentially getting paid for doing other non-class work (eg. creating content). This would depend on your skill/efficiency with doing that non-class work.

HOW WE WORK

We’re a 100% distributed/remote team. Here’s a little bit more about how we work:

• Most things are not urgent. We take pride in having a calm work environment.
• We also have a flat collaborative environment.
